Sandra Poulson, M.A.

Ph.D. candidate

Sandra received an M.A. (Science Education) from the University of Texas at Austin and worked at Standford University as a Life Science Research Professional before coming to the University of Toronto. She completed an M.A. (Psychology) from the University of Toronto where she was co-supervised by Dr. Martin and Dr. Melissa Holmes. The goal of her M.A. thesis was to characterize neuropathic pain in naked mole rats. For her Ph.D. she is examining compassion-related behaviors towards mice in pain and examining the role of cortical processing in these behaviors.
